Hi. For those of you who don’t me, I have been dancing now for over 20 years and for 5 years taught for surrounding local schools, before opening Leeuwin College in 2004. I have also taught Contemporary and Jazz at Busselton Senior High School as a specialist teacher. I received my Teacher’s qualification for C.S.T.D in 2004 and this is the syllabus I will be teaching in Jazz, Tap, Acrobats and Theatrical classes. The ballet syllabus I will be teaching is known as Cecchetti Ballet. I currently hold my Associate with Cecchetti Ballet and am now working towards my Associate diploma. I have had the pleasure of working with Chrissie Parrot and the South West Opera Company in performances and tuition from specialist teachers such as Jane Diamond, Lucette Aldous, David Pruhdam and Colin Peasley.

At the age of 9, I was enrolled into dance classes at ‘The Performance Company’ and trained with them with the exception of 2 memorable years at Helen Mackay School of dance, till I was 16 years old. Throughout my years of dancing I was given every opportunity to train within a wide range of genres of dance including jazz, tap, singing, ballet and acrobats. When I reached high school, I auditioned and was accepted into ‘Specialised Dance Studies’ at Hampton Senior High School and ‘Steps Youth Dance Company’ directed by Ruth Osborne. At the age of 18 I auditioned for Star Cruises and successfully was employed as a dancer for two contracts on various cruise ships. My passion for freestyle dancing followed and I was employed by various nightclubs and entertainment venues among Perth and Melbourne in the years to follow. After a break, in 2011 I started dancing again at ‘Leeuwin College of Performance’ doing what I love and sharing it with others who are also passionate about dancing.
